Popular Star’s “Touchy” Hand Caught On Camera—Is His Reaction A Red Flag?
A recent episode of TV star Jang Young Ran‘s YouTube show caught her friend and popular comedian Kim Young Chul getting “touchy” with her, and his reaction to being called out about it has since sparked some discussion online.
In the episode, Jang Young Ran visits Kim Young Chul’s home. While looking through his closet and marveling at his huge collection of fashionable items, she finds a Gucci blazer she likes.
As she tries it on, Kim Young Chul points out that, while it’s one of the most expensive pieces he owns, the big NY logo could make it seem tackier than it is. Wondering if the logo could come off, Kim Young Chul puts his finger near it—over Jang Young Ran’s breast.
When Jang Young Ran notices and calls him out, Kim Young Chul gets flustered…
Jang Young Ran: This would look great on men or women.
Kim Young Chul: Yes, but the problem is… It can come across as tacky.
Jang Young Ran: Yeah, I see what you mean.
Kim Young Chul: I wonder if this comes off…
Jang Young Ran: Where is your hand going, oppa?
Producer: What are you doing?!
Jang Young Ran: What is wrong with you?
…and then proceeds to comment that she is overreacting before apologizing to her husband.
Kim Young Chul: I was— I was just trying to see if the logo would come off, but…
Jang Young Ran: Why would you?
Kim Young Chul: But OK, you’re overreacting. Don’t you think?
Jang Young Ran: I’m not overreacting!
Kim Young Chul: I’m sorry, Mr. Han (Jang Young Ran’s husband).
While Jang Young Ran kept the situation light, as a humorous moment between friends, viewers felt otherwise. A viral tweet noted, humorous or not, it was sexual harassment, and he acted like a “f*cking dick” about it.

It’s clearly sexual harassment, but when she calls him out, he acts dumbfounded and tries to deny it, while the producer laughs like it’s funny. And Kim Young Chul doesn’t even apologize to Jang Young Ran but to her husband instead… Ugh, f*cking dick. Piss off, seriously.

Kim Young Chul’s behavior has since been dubbed a red flag, and viewers questioned whether his reaction was appropriate.
