Here’s A Quick Guide To How BTS Will Spend The End Of 2019
BTS has a busy schedule ahead of them as the new year approaches. With their world tour ending only last month, they have already traveled the world for one year and two months and performed in front of 2.6 million people worldwide.
BTS departed for Japan on November 21 and held their 5th official Japan fan meeting in Chiba on November 24. This fan meeting is an extension of their Korea fan meeting held in Busan and Seoul this past June. The BTS 5th Mystery-Magic Shop will take place at the Osaka Kyocera Dome on December 14 and 15.
They will also be opening their House of BTS pop-up store in Japan. It will be open until December 29 in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. The location will be at the Shibuya 109, a large offline shopping mall, and will have the same concept as the store in Seoul.
Although BTS has opened short-term pop-up stores in conjunction with their world tour, it is the first time that they have opened a pop-up store overseas for a set amount of time.
BTS took nominations for three categories at the 2019 American Music Awards (AAA), which will be at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. BTS received nominations for Favorite Duo, Group Pop/Rock, Tour of the Year, and Favorite Social Artist. Although they will not be able to attend the ceremony because of their tight schedule, fans are hopeful that they will win at least one of the nominated categories. BTS won Favorite Social Artist last year at the AAA’s.
BTS will appear at various end-of-the-year music award ceremonies. They have been sweeping trophies with their songs for Korea’s music ceremonies in recent years.
They will attend the 2019 Melon Music Awards held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on November 30. BTS performed their track “Idol” at this ceremony last year and received much attention for its traditional elements.
On December 4, they will attend the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) in Nagoya, Japan. This ceremony is one of the largest year-end award ceremonies.
Afterward, they will fly to the states to attend the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert on December 6 in Inglewood, California. Artists such as Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Halsey, and others will also be performing at this event. This event is held at the end of every year by the country’s largest radio network. This year it is scheduled for December 3-22.
After their overseas activities, they will return to Korea to attend the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejun on December 25 at the Gocheok Sky Dome and the 2019 KBS Music Festival on December 26 at the Ilsan Kintex.
It seems like BTS has got their schedule jam-packed just before the New Year! Let’s support the boys so they can finish off the year on a good note!
