Controversial Star’s Ex-Girlfriend Files Official Complaint For Rape And Assault

Popular basketball player Heo Ung has been accused of rape and assault by his ex-girlfriend, Ms. Jeon, who recently filed an official complaint with the police.
According to Ms. Jeon’s legal representative, the incident allegedly took place between May 13 and May 14, 2021. The complaint details that an argument erupted while they were drinking at a hotel Izakaya in Seoul.
The argument escalated to the hotel’s first-floor smoking area, where Heo Ung allegedly assaulted Ms. Jeon in a fit of anger, damaging her dental laminate. The complaint further claims that Heo then dragged Ms. Jeon to a hotel room and forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse, resulting in her pregnancy.

Ms. Jeon’s case is reportedly intertwined with a prior complaint from Heo’s side, which involves accusations of attempted extortion. Heo Ung claimed that Ms. Jeon demanded ₩300 million KRW (about $218,000 USD) between May 29 and May 31, 2021, threatening to expose his private life to the media if her demands were not met.
Ms. Jeon’s legal side stated that she would fully cooperate with the investigation to clear her name. Additionally, a complaint has been filed against an individual, Mr. Hwang, for spreading false information about Ms. Jeon via a YouTube platform. Ms. Jeon’s attorney stressed the importance of addressing the spread of false information and preventing secondary harm that could arise from such actions.
Meanwhile, on June 27, Heo Ung filed his own complaint against Ms. Jeon at the Gangnam Police Station, accusing her of attempted extortion, threats, stalking, and violations related to drug control laws.
The pair initially met through an acquaintance in 2018 and dated until their breakup in December 2021, which was attributed to personality differences and family opposition.
