“Crash Course In Romance” Actress Jeon Do Yeon Denies Being Close To A Famous Comedian She Went To School With
In a recent interview, Crash Course In Romance and Kill Boksoon actress Jeon Do Yeon clarified that she is not that close to a famous comedian who everybody believed she was close to.
Jeon Do Yeon was a guest on tvN‘s You Quiz On The Block with hosts and comedians Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho, where she shared stories of her past and plans for her future.
The actress went to school at the Seoul Institute of the Arts—where Yoo Jae Suk attended at the same time. Because they were classmates, people thought the two were close friends.
Jeon Do Yeon, however, made it clear that they aren’t as close as people think. At the beginning of the interview, Yoo Jae Suk asked her how she felt being in the show, and she stated that she was nervous and a bit overwhelmed by how everybody thought they were so close.
I was worried and nervous because people think I’m really close to Yoo Jae Suk, but that’s not really true. When we meet up, there’s not even much to say. But people are anticipating so it’s a bit overwhelming for me.
Of course, this was said in a friendly and joking atmosphere, and all three of them were laughing as she said this.
Yoo Jae Suk pointed out that she had already said in other interviews that they were not close, and Jeon Do Yeon asked:
But were we really that close? I’m asking because I’m really curious. I feel like there was always distance between us.
The people in the studio, Yoo Jae Suk and even Jeon Do Yeon, burst out laughing as she said this, and then she added:
I think it’s my first time seeing you up close like this.
Yoo Jae Suk then clarified that even though they were in the same major, they were in different classes, so they never actually took a class together. They did run into each other while going to and from campus.
A memory Yoo Jae Suk brought up next, however, showed that they had some interactions.
Do you remember when we were eating tteokbokki, and you ate my tteokbokki?
He explained that he and his friends were eating tteokbokki when Jeon Do Yeon appeared and said, “Ooh, tteokbokki,” and then ate some of his. Jeon Do Yeon denied this and said she didn’t remember but admitted she liked tteokbokki.
Yoo Jae Suk shared another memory that she sat right next to him at orientation—which Jeon Do Yeon didn’t remember as well.

He then shared that she was very popular among the guys on campus because she and her beauty stood out. Seeing photos from her youth, we can see why she was popular!
Whether they’re close friends or just schoolmates, Yoo Jae Suk and Jeon Do Yeon appeared to have a great time on the show and audiences loved the episode!
