“Crash Landing On You” Couple Hyun Bin And Son Ye Jin Unexpectedly “Cameo” In “Queen Of Tears”

TvN‘s latest hit, K-Drama Queen of Tears, starring lead actors Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, was highly anticipated due to not only its all-star cast but also its crew, as writer Park Ji Eun is also behind the beloved K-Drama Crash Landing on You. Likewise, Queen of Tears’ directors Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won previously worked on Crash Landing on You.
Kim Soo Hyun, who starred in Park Ji Eun’s hit K-Dramas, My Love From the Star and The Producers, actually appeared for a moment in Crash Landing on You, reprising his role from the 2013 film action comedy-drama Secretly, Greatly. Kim cameoed on Crash Landing on You due to his longstanding relationship with writer Park.
Considering this, K-Drama fans have been hopeful that the Crash Landing on You couple, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, would make a cameo appearance in Queen of Tears.
Now, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have received not one but two shout-outs in Queen of Tears.
The K-Drama focuses on Baek Hyun Woo, who married heiress Hong Hae In. After a few years, he decided he wanted to divorce her, only to discover she had three months to live. Now seeing divorce as pointless, he attempted to become a devoted husband so much that Hae In would update her will to include him.

In Episode 4, Hyun Woo confessed he had bought his wife new comfortable shoes. So, his friend, Kim Yang Ki (Moon Tae Yu), became suspicious that in caring for her, Hyun Woo is falling in love with his wife all over again. Yang Ki compared it to co-stars who fall in love, namedropping Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, who famously married each other in real life after filming Crash Landing on You together. The two now even have a child together.

In the very next episode, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin appear… but on a character’s TV! Hae In’s mother, Kim Sun Hwa (Na Young Hee), was watching Crash Landing on You when Hong Soo Cheol (Kwak Dong Yeon) interrupted to talk to her.
