Creator of “Goblin” reveals what her next drama will be
Writer of the hit shows Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, and Heirs has news about future projects in the making!
After the immense success of last years Descendants of the Sun and this year’s hit show Goblin, show creator Kim Eun Sook is ready to head back to the drawing boards with another work in progress. In a recent interview, Kim Eun Sook stated,
To start, I am going to have a 3-month vacation, resting period. After resting, I will start to work towards my next project and will be aiming to complete it by the first half of next year.
I’ve always had an interest in historic dramas and through “Goblin” – I kind of feel that I have experimented enough to actually do a full historic drama as my next project.
A new show is highly anticipated, given Goblin‘s record-breaking success and wide-spread recognition. The show ended with it’s highest ratings ever, a whopping 20.5% across South Korea according to Nielson. During the final episodes airing, a 15-second advertisement is said to have cost 13.8 million won (11,800 USD).
Beyond financial expectations – we have to place an importance towards happiness. Happiness with the viewers, production staff and actors. Everyone has to work in a happy, positive environment and through this atmosphere – one can create a meaningful work.
Now check out the cost of Kim Shin‘s wardrobe.
