CUBE Entertainment Loses Over A Dozen Stars In Less Than 9 Months

Many fans say the artists have done better after leaving.

While everyone is aware of the “big 4” entertainment companies, there are several that, through the success of their artists, have established their place. One such company is CUBE Entertainment, currently home to (G)I-DLE.

However, the company has lost many of the stars under the label over the last nine months.

In October 2023, five members of PENTAGONYeoOne, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok — left the company after their contracts expired. Hongseok followed shortly after in November after canceling his exclusive contract.

Six members of BTOB also left the company in November 2023, establishing BTOB Company as a sub-label of DOD Entertainment for their group activities.

Actor Na In Woo, star of Marry My Husband, was the first to leave the company in 2024, departing on January 18.

CLC‘s Seunghee left CUBE in March 2024 after her contract expired, which did not surprise many due to CLC member Sorn’s allegations about the company’s treatment of the group.

2AM’s Jo Kwon was next to leave a few months later after spending seven years as an artist under the company. Actor Yoo Seon Ho, currently starring in The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, is the most recent to leave, with his departure being reported on July 11.
