Popular Idol Gaslit Into Admitting To A Dating Scandal Sets The Story Straight
Unfortunately, dating scandals are a part of K-Pop and can have huge and unnecessary effects on an idol’s career. In addition to being placed on hiatus, some idols have even been removed from their groups due to dating news.
It was believed by many that former MOMOLAND member Daisy’s departure, later revealed to be firing, from the group was linked to a dating rumor between her and iKON’s Yunhyeong. MLD Entertainment confirmed the news, while YG Entertainment shockingly did not, resulting in many feeling “sorry” for Daisy.
Daisy’s Agency Confirms Relationship With Yunhyeong.. And YG Quickly Responded
A viral TikTok recently brought up this, resulting in Daisy addressing the matter herself.
In a TikTok shared online, Daisy first begins by saying she is planning on setting the story straight, and what she was about to say had very little to do with Yunhyeong. She states that she had landed at the airport from Japan when she received a phone call informing her about the article that had been published.
I get a phone call from someone from my company and they’re like, we need to have a meeting now. And I was like okay, lets do that.

Daisy says after being separated from the other members she was taken to an office that was not at her company’s building. There she met with a higher-up named “John” for the sake of the story, who first asks her opinion on the matter.
Despite Daisy saying that she wanted to deny it, she shares that “John” began “playing mind games” with her.
But then, the little motherf*cker John starts playing mind games with me. So John goes, ‘what if there are photos?’ nnd I’m like ‘there aren’t’ and he’s like ‘but what if?’ And that just keeps going back and forth and then he continues saying that ‘you know that if there are photos of any other evidence it’s only gonna look bad for the girl, it always does.

Daisy admits that the mind games had started to get to her at this point due to her young age and inexperience. She then says that “John” claimed that he called a representative from YG Entertainment in front of her to push the idea that they would deny it and made no collaborative effort.
She says that she pushed for denying the rumor again, but that he kept bringing up what could possibly happen.
I admit my fault. So the last thing I tell John is ‘then, maybe if you know so well, then maybe you should just make the best decision for me.’ And that was their best decision for me apparently. So in a very personal perspective, I honest felt that I was being coerced to confirm it.
— Daisy
She finishes by saying that she did know what was happening and that she was not in the dark as everyone painted her to be, in addition to this not being why she was kicked out of the group.
