A week ago, Daniel Caesar canceled his Korea concert for “unforeseen circumstances” just 3 hours before it was scheduled to begin, causing anger and confusion among netizens.

Daniel Caesar was scheduled to perform in Korea as part of his SUPERPOWERS World Tour in Australia, Asia, and Hawaii. However, on December 12, Live Nation Korea announced that the singer would not be going through with his concert without clearly disclosing a reason.

Fans were angered at the abrupt cancellation, however, their anger turned into concern when Daniel Caesar posted that he would be canceling not just that show but his whole Asia tour for “reasons that cannot be disclosed.”

Some speculated that something happened at the afterparty at the concert in Korea held on December 11 and wondered if he was hurt, and others stated that they should have been given at least a day’s notice.

However, Daniel Caesar recently addressed the reason for the cancellation, putting an end to speculations.

On December 18 (KST), Daniel Caesar shared the unfortunate news of his close friend’s passing through an Instagram Live session. He mentioned that his friend had recently died during the Israel-Palestine war, and he unexpectedly received the news of the death, causing him to cancel the shows abruptly.

Daniel Caesar also expressed his intention to participate in a charity concern for Palestianian relief funds scheduled for early next month. Local fans who learned about this news conveyed words of support, saying, “It must have been so shocking,” “I hope his heart heals soon,” “If we had known this, no one would have been upset,” “We apologize on their behalf,” and “May the deceased rest in peace.”
