DAWN Unveils New Tattoos In An Unique Location, Causing Fans To Question His Pain Tolerance
Soloist DAWN recently showed off his new tattoos, and they’re in a location you might not expect.
Since joining P NATION, DAWN has been able to express his unique and creative style more freely.
DAWN is no stranger to expressing himself through his music, art, and body modifications, already having an impressive collection of body ink and piercings.
He’s rapidly expanded his collection of tattoos over the last few years, with new ink routinely appearing on his hands, arms, chest, and back.

Among DAWN’s growing collection of tattoos is a couple tattoo that he shares with his fiancée HyunA, heartwarmingly declaring in permanent ink that the two are bound for life.
DAWN’s most recent Instagram post revealed the location of his new tattoos. What initially appeared to be new nail art was actually his tattooed fingernails.
The first picture in his post showed DAWN with his newly inked nails, with the second slide showing his fingernails being tattooed.
Fans overwhelmingly reacted with interest in the unique location. With interest in the unique ink came curiosity about how painful a fingernail tattoo might be.
While anyone who has had a hangnail or a broken nail may believe it’s a painful location to receive a tattoo, it’s reportedly relatively pain-free if done correctly.
Celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy shared in an interview with Seventeen Magazine that clients reported receiving a fingernail tattoo feels like the “equivalent to having gel [nail] polish taken off.“
While tattoos are typically permanent, fingernail tattoos last as little as a few weeks to a few months, depending on how quickly an individual’s nails grow out.
Finger tattoos have been on the rise as a minimal, more discreet body ink option. With DAWN debuting his new fingernail tattoos, perhaps he’ll spark a unique trend in Korea.
