DAY6’s Young K Gets Emotional During aespa’s Performance
A clip of DAY6‘s Young K has gone viral of him getting emotional at The 2024 KGMA (Korea Grand Music Awards) held at the Inspire Arena in Incheon on November 17.
In the clip, Young K sits with his members while watching aespa perform their hit song “Whiplash.” While the music is upbeat, Young K appears to be holding back tears. Wonpil must have noticed because he apparently attempted to cheer him up by singing “Whiplash” to him.

it’s the same expression, the way he tried to cover it with laugh, the pouty lips when exhaling, tilted his head and looked up, YoungK was about to cry, he must felt overwhelmed while trying to hold his happy tears🥹😭😭😭

The reason behind his tears was not aespa, of course. DAY6 took home three awards, including “Grand Prize,” as they won their first daesang that night, and Young K was still emotional.

On stage, Young K was naturally tearing up as they gave their speech. DAY6 deserves all the recognition and love they are receiving.
