Disgraced SM Entertainment Idol’s Current Visuals Become A Hot Topic

Former K-Pop star Park Yoochun (also known by his stage name Micky) has recently resurfaced online, drawing mixed reactions from netizens after a new photo of him started trending on Korean community site Instiz.

On April 15, the picture began circulating through a post with the caption: “Is He Still Handsome? Recent Photos of Micky Yoochun.”
In the image, Park is seen wearing a cozy cream cable-knit sweater and black padded jacket while standing inside what appears to be a fan event venue. Now approaching 40, the former idol’s appearance has sparked discussion among fans and the public.

Though once widely admired for his visuals during the peak of his career as part of SM Entertainment‘s powerhouse boy group TVXQ!, many believe Park’s image has drastically shifted following a string of controversies.

Park Yoochun was previously involved in a series of high-profile scandals, including sexual assault allegations in 2016 (from which he was legally cleared) and a drug case in 2019, which led to a suspended sentence. Though he once announced his retirement from the entertainment industry, he has since resumed limited activities abroad, particularly in Japan.

Despite trying to maintain a connection with his remaining fanbase, the response to his reappearance shows that public perception still hasn’t fully shifted in his favor.

- “Maybe if he got a little hair transplant, it’d be alright.”
- “If he covered his forehead a bit.”
- “He looks like an auntie.”
- “Compared to when he was going through his worst phase, he’s improved a little. But now he really needs to cover up that forehead.”
- “Micky’s gone. That’s just Park Yoochun now.”
