American singer and social media personality Dixie D’Amelio has addressed rumors of a BLACKPINK collaboration.
Dixie D’Amelio recently guested on The Zach Sang Show to promote her debut album, a letter to me. Yet, she also was asked about her relationship with BLACKPINK.
Dan Zolot: You recently followed every member of BLACKPINK on Instagram.
Dixie D’Amelio: Oh my God!
Zach Sang: She has taste.
Dixie clarified that she had followed BLACKPINK a while ago despite the “news” resurfacing every couple of months.
Dixie D’Amelio: That happened like… I followed them a year and a half ago. And then…
Zach Sang: You’re late.
She also cleared up the rumors about a potential collaboration between her and BLACKPINK. She is actually a BLINK like the rest of us, so she is following them. There’s nothing more at this time.
It gets posted every couple months, and they’re like, ‘Collab between BLACKPINK and Dixie D’Amelio…’ I’m like, ‘No,’ and so I respond… I like quote-tweeted it with a link to my album as a joke. They’re like, ‘You’re using them!’ I’m like, ‘Because you guys are making things up. I just follow them.’

Dixie added that she had, however, met them in-person. As expected, they were “very sweet!”
Dixie D’Amelio: I sat behind them at The VMAs. They’re also very sweet.
Zach Sang: They’re the best.
Dixie D’Amelio: I met them there, and then I think about time. I don’t remember. I don’t know.
Zach Sang: Jennie was at Coachella.
Dixie D’Amelio: No … I did not do Coachella right. I would go at 6 and leave at 9…
Zach Sang and Dixie also bonded over the mutual love for BLACKPINK! They both have taste.
Zach Sang: I love BLACKPINK.
Dixie D’Amelio: Yeah! Their performance was so good.
Zach Sang: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dixie D’Amelio: That was a fun night.
