DPR Ian is now best known as a co-founder of Dream Perfect Regime. He focused on DPR’s visual arts before debuting as a solo artist.

Before this, however, Ian got his start in the industry as a member of the third-generation K-Pop group C-Clown, where he went by a different stage name. C-Clown promoted from 2012 to 2015, disbanding as the members followed their paths.

The star has since seen a great growth in popularity as his fanbase increases.

Recently, the star held a live stream on Instagram, during which he discussed numerous topics, including what is believed to be about his time in C-Clown.

According to Ian, he signed what he called a 7-8 year “slave contract” with a company that “f*cked him up almost every day.” He then went on to say that it was not about money but rather how brutal the company was on the group, saying that a member’s ribs had been broken and that they had fistfights with their manager almost every day.

…8-7 year fucking slave contract from my old company that fucked me up almost every day. Not even — we’re not talking about money, we’re talking about just brutality. Not being treated like a human, that was a given, that wasn’t even in the fucking paper. They treated me like dogshit. They hit me, they fucking — they took one of my members ribs out. Not like took it out but, you know, like flailed it. We had fist fights every day with my managers.

DPR Ian has openly admitted to having D.I.D. or Dissociative identity disorder, a condition where an individual has multiple distinct identities, each with their own characteristics, name, and personal history. He attributed the enhancement of this condition to the company’s treatment of him and his group mates.

Blackmail is a heck of a thing. And I vowed on that very day, everything that they made us do, everything that they put me through, everything that made—that triggered the first birth, the fucking, the enhancement of my D.I.D and [inaudible], you just gotta give them a nod.
