Dreamcatcher Will Be The First K-Pop Group To Perform At Famous “Primavera Sound” Festival In Barcelona
As the world gradually recovers from the pandemic, K-Pop acts are finally beginning to announce in-person performances again—and one of the biggest comes from Dreamcatcher, who are officially booked to perform at the world-famous Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, Spain.
Launched in 2001, Primavera Sound has become one of the world’s biggest music festivals over the past 20 years. Each year, hundreds of thousands of music fans from around the world gather at Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, a seafront public park that creates the perfect atmosphere for summer hype. The last iteration of Primavera Sound drew in a staggering 220,000 attendees.
Now, Dreamcatcher is making history by joining the lineup. Set to be the first K-Pop group to ever grace the festival, Dreamcatcher is officially confirmed to perform at Primavera Sound 2022!
While many fans were wondering is the lineup poster was truly referring to the K-Pop group and not another act with the same name, Primavera Sound took to Twitter to let fans know that Dreamcatcher is definitely the group in attendance.Confirmamos

The festival also featured a short write-up on the group’s impressive talent and music on its website last week, stating, “Dreamcatcher: we stan.”
Dreamcatchers are one of those rare exceptions that blow up the clichés of an entire genre.

Dreamcatcher will perform during the festival’s first weekend on Saturday, June 4, 2022 alongside some of the biggest acts in popular and alternative music, including Gorillaz, Disclosure, Tyler, The Creator, and Jorja Smith. Other major names making an appearance over the course of the festival include Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Lorde, The Strokes, Tame Impala, Kehlani, and more.
Dreamcatcher has everything that is so attractive about K-pop (an amazing aesthetic that gives us iconic videos, spectacular choreography, stories behind each song they publish) but they bring a variety and depth that sets them apart from other similar bands.

Some fans are also taking Dreamcatcher’s appearance as another possible exciting confirmation: contract renewal. Dreamcatcher technically debuted in early 2017, but the group first appeared as MINX in 2014 before being rebranded. As such, the contracts of all members except Handong and Gahyeon (who were added in 2017) are expected to expire in August 2021. Since Dreamcatcher is already booking appearances for 2022, InSomnias suspect this could be a sign that the members have already renewed their contracts with Dreamcatcher Company.
Tickets for Primavera Sound will go on sale on June 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Central European Time. Will pricing has not yet been announced, tickets typically retail for €45 EUR ($55 USD) to €195 ($240 USD) each. According to the festival’s website, more artists will be added to the lineup soon.
