Eagle-Eyed Netizens Spot A Meaningful Tribute To Goo Hara In KARA’s Comeback MV Teaser
KARA officially announced in September that they would be making a comeback for their 15th anniversary after the group became inactive in 2016.
Although Korean media widely reported they had disbanded in 2016, the members consistently assured fans that they didn’t consider themselves disbanded but would come back together when the time was right.
In June, the group reunited for their first full group photo in six years, including members Nicole and Jiyoung, who withdrew from the group at the expiration of their contracts in 2014.
Fans were thrilled to see the group back together, and their upcoming comeback on November 29 marks the first time Jiyoung and Nicole will promote with Youngji, who joined the group after their departure.
Not only is the group making a comeback, but they’re also releasing a full-length album, Move Again.
The group officially released their first music video teaser for their comeback single, “When I Move,” and fans noticed what appears to be a meaningful tribute to the group’s sixth member, Goo Hara, who sadly passed away in 2019.
The music video teaser begins with the camera panning to each member as they sit at a dining table in front of a cake.
In front of each member is a table setting, and eagle-eyed netizens noticed that there was one additional place setting at the end of the table.
The extra seat led many to believe it was a meaningful tribute to Goo Hara.
Other fans noticed that the glass in front of the empty seat was also full, which fans believed was also a touching gesture for the late member.
The tribute left many emotional and happy that the KARA members continue honoring Goo Hara.
- “Look how many people are thinking about you, Hara. Hope you’re happy!”
- “I miss Hara so much. I hope she’s happy where she is. GO KARA!”
- “They even filled the glass for her…”
- “I miss Hara.”
This isn’t the first time the group honored Goo Hara for KARA’s 15th anniversary. When the members posted their reunion photos from June, they each thoughtfully tagged Goo Hara on Instagram, forever remembering her as an eternal member of the group.
