EL CAPITXN Seemingly Shows Support For BTS’s Suga

Previously, Suga was by his side during his challenging times.

Singer-songwriter, record producer, and former member of the boy group HISTORY, EL CAPITXN (also known as Jang Yi Jeong and formerly known as J. Pearl), appears to be subtly sharing his support for friend BTS‘s Suga, according to fans.

Previously, Suga was caught drunk driving an electric scooter on August 6, 2024. He was reported to have been found by the police after falling in front of Nine One Hannam, a luxury complex in Hannam-dong. The police detected alcohol on him and brought him to the nearest station. There they discovered a 0.227% alcohol level in his bloodstream.

Now, some ARMYs believe that EL CAPITXN is sending messages of support to Suga during this time with his recent Instagram activity. Via Instagram, EL CAPITXN posted about Agust D‘s “Snooze (ft. Ryuichi Sakamoto & WOOSUNG)”–a solo song by Suga that EL CAPITXN produced–re-entering the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart.

He also included a hugging emoji on the post. Some fans believe this represents EL CAPITXN hugging Suga.

The song was written to encourage people who are going through trials. The post-chorus repeats, “Everything will be okay.”

You, who’s dreaming while looking at me
I’m always here behind you, so don’t worry too much
If you’re afraid to crash, I’ll willingly receive you
So you don’t suffer like I did
You, who sacrifice your sleep for your dreams, it’s okay to rest
For today, don’t even dream
When you silently give me a light smile
Only then, I feel a little relieved

EL CAPITXN has worked on many popular BTS songs, including “Ddaeng,” “Take Two,” and Agust D’s “Daechwita.” He and Suga are more than just collaborators or labelmates; they’re friends.

The two met over a decade ago as idols, and Suga was by EL CAPITXN’s side when his career stopped after he struggled to sing.

I say this every time I see you, but I still wish that you would sing too. Back then, I said this too. I was driving and said, ‘If you want to be a singer, fix your voice first. You have to get that taken care of to do what you want to do I’ll pay for the hospital fees… No matter how much it costs, I’ll support you. You can pay me back slowly when you can. If you want to be a singer, that agency is the right choice but get your voice fixed first.’ That’s what I said I think that was the end of 2016.
