ELLE Magazine Omits BTS’s Jungkook And V From The Group, Issues A Statement
BTS‘s Jimin is the new ELLE Hong Kong cover star for the month of March. He stunned in a dreamy pictorial that had us swooning over his charisma. The final result was a masterpiece, with many people putting in the work.
Despite the care taken with his cover issue, there was a slight mishap in the cover story text. Fans noticed that members V and Jungkook had accidentally been omitted from the blurb.
Jimin is wonderful yes for ELLE HONG KONG!, but the MATERIAL NEEDS TO BE REVISED! BTS are 07 MEMBERS and not 05 as they wrote and quoted in the names. https://t.co/AAMq0vJaPq#jimin #Jimin_FACE #JIMINXELLEHK pic.twitter.com/FzbSWpcA6d

The blurb gave an introduction to Jimin and his group, where they named each of the members. Thankfully, the issue had barely gone live when the staff caught the mistake. The online version of the cover story has been swiftly edited to reflect all seven members.
The magazine issued an apology via their official social media channels, apologizing to fans for the oversight.
The cover story for the March issue of Elle HK (page 56) mentions five members, RM (Kim Namjoon), Jin (Kim Seokjin), Suga (Min Yoongi), J-Hope (Jung Hoseok), and Jimin (Park Jimin). This should be seven members, Jin (Kim Seokjin), Suga (Min Yoongi), J-Hope (Jung Hoseok), RM (Kim Namjoon), Jimin (Park Jimin), V (Kim Taehyung), and Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook). The article mistakenly omitted two members. We are deeply sorry and would like to sincerely apologize for causing inconvenience to top Korean group BTS’s seven members and their fans.

Although the digital copy was easily fixed, the printed copies would have no choice but to carry the mistake on page 56, as specified by the staff.
