On July 31, an Engene (ENHYPEN’s fanbase) took to X (former Twitter) and shared about the album they had purchased from Weverse. The OP (original poster) had pulled a photocard of Jake; only it was smeared in blood. A crushed mosquito was also laminated into the photocard.

They also provided a video of the album unboxing to prove that the photocard indeed came with the dead mosquito and the blood on it.

The post has now gone viral, with over 2 million views at the time of writing. The reaction from K-Pop fans has been varied. Some took it light-heartedly, even joking that ENHYPEN has taken the “vampire concept” too far.

A few responses also pointed out that this was not the first time HYBE had caused such a blunder in its album packaging.

Many expressed serious concern over this biohazard and re-emphasized the need for collective fandom action to hold the company accountable.
