ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Was A Special MC For “Music Bank” With IVE’s Wonyoung And Here’s Why Fans Are So Excited

Usually, K-Pop fans tune in to Music Bank and see IVE‘s Wonyoung and ENHYPEN‘s Sunghoon as the fantastic MCs of the show.

But because Sunghoon is currently resting from his recent rhinitis surgery, today’s Music Bank was hosted by Wonyoung and special MC ENHYPEN’s Jungwon.

Wonyoung and Sunghoon have fantastic chemistry as MCs with playful banter and great support of one another, to the extent that they won the 2021 KBS Entertainment Awards Best Couple award.

But even though there was a change to the regular MCs, fans were possibly even more excited to see Jungwon and Wonyoung interacting.

This is due mainly to the fact that Jungwon and Wonyoung were both born in 2004, and fans are hopeful that over time all the 2004 line idols can get close and maybe even create a bond as iconic as the 1997 line idols.

But even more similarities between the two left fans eager to see their interactions.

Both Jungwon and Wonyoung competed on survival shows and finished in first place.

Jungwon competed in I-LAND, finished first in the show, and then made his debut in ENHYPEN.

While Wonyoung competed in Produce48, she also finished first and made her debut in IZ*ONE.

But the similarities even continue to their names

Both idols, of course, have “won” in their name, which helped them create the new term “won won cross,” which they debuted at today’s Music Bank.

And even their initials are the same, just in slightly different orders. With Jungwon’s full name being Yang Jungwon, so YJW. And Wonyoung’s full name is Jang Wonyoung, so JWY.

And were especially impressed with Junwon’s performance as they noticed both his immense dedication when they saw how thoroughly highlighted his MC cards were.
