ENHYPEN's Sunghoon Once Received A Figure Skating Scholarship With "Ice Queen" Kim Yuna

ENHYPEN‘s Sunghoon, a former competitive figure skater, looks up to Olympic figure skater Kim Yuna. Unlike most fans, however, he was lucky enough to meet her more than once!

One of the earliest times Sunghoon was documented with Kim Yuna was back in 2018 when he received a figure skating scholarship from KB Financial Group. The scholarship was given to promising young talents in the sport, and Kim Yuna was happy to deliver it.

In a recent interview with Weverse Magazine, Sunghoon talked about a separate occasion he saw the world-famous skater. He explained that he was lucky enough to be a “flower kid” at one of the events she participated in. Flower kids are in charge of collecting the toys, bouquets, and other items that the crowds toss from the stands.

While on the topic of Kim Yuna, Sunghoon praised her program “Homage To Korea,” calling it “amazing.” It must have been even more beautiful in person!

I still remember one of Kim Yuna’s programs, ‘Homage To Korea,’ and how amazing it was. I love the way she used the traditional Korean song ‘Arirang’ for it.
