On February 27, the idol uploaded a post to her Instagram. ELLY captions her post, writing, “Someone who is upsetting, someone that I am thankful for. As long as you’re ok, I’m fine. Goodbye.”

In her post, the idol included a handwritten letter to Shinsadong Tiger, who recently died. The late K-Pop producer worked with EXID extensively and produced their breakout single “Up And Down.”

To Lee Ho Yang, who should have been with me throughout my 20s and 30s. Honestly, I’m so mad at you. Why? All I can say is, why? I’m also mad at myself for not asking about your struggles when we’ve been together for 15 years. I’m also mad at you for never telling me about your struggles.

You are still someone I’ll always be thankful for. You were like an island. You could never say anything hurtful. You were such a creative. You always seemed fine but was always lonely. When I look back, you were with me throughout my 20s and 30s. Sometimes, you were so mean, hard to understand, and sad. I hope you are less lonely, less hard, and less hurt.

Although I’m out of the country and can’t go to your funeral, I was so happy that you were in my life. I wanted to write this in a letter. You, who I am mad at but am thankful for, Goodbye.
