EXID Hani’s Fiancé Psychiatrist Responds To Fierce Backlash The Couple Confronts
Korean psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong, who is better known to K-Pop fans as EXID member Hani‘s fiancé, has responded to the recent news surrounding the death of a patient who was admitted to his hospital for addiction treatment.
While the initial SBS report didn’t include Yang’s name, it provided enough information for viewers to narrow it down to Yang and W Jin Hospital in Bucheon.
Confronting the massive backlash, Yang issued an official statement through his agency, Mystic Story.
Hello, this is Yang Jae Woong. First and foremost, we—including myself and the entire medical team—are deeply distressed by the incident that occurred during the hospitalization process at W Hospital. We sincerely apologize to the bereaved family who are grieving the loss of their loved one.

Yang admitted that the hospital in the news reports was his, and he apologized for the tragic death that happened there.

This incident occurred at the hospital where I am currently serving as the CEO, and as the director of W Hospital, I take this matter very seriously. The hospital is fully cooperating with the authorities involved in the ongoing investigation, including providing medical charts and CCTV footage that captures the situation at the time.
Since the investigation is ongoing, we ask all to refrain from speculative posts and scandalizing reports about the treatment process and the incident. Under current medical law, medical professionals are obligated to maintain patient confidentiality, so we regret that we cannot provide detailed responses to your inquiries.

He assured his cooperation with the investigation, pleading that no more speculations stem from the CCTV footage.
