EXO’s Baekhyun Is Going Viral For His Unexpected Advice To LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae About “Celebrity Friends”
EXO‘s Baekhyun is going viral after his unexpected advice to LE SSERAFIM‘s Eunchae about “celebrity friends.”
On July 20, LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae released the next episode of her Eunchae’s Star Diary, and the guests were EXO’s Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chanyeol.
Of course, there were some hilarious moments throughout, especially after EXO realized just how young Eunchae is.
Yet, while much of the video was lighthearted, some advice from Baekhyun to Eunchae has gone viral and showcases the harsh reality of being in the entertainment industry.
Considering EXO has over ten years of experience in the industry, Eunchae asked for advice on how LE SSERAFIM could continue to be a great group after that same time.
Baekhyun took the lead and explained that LE SSERAFIM are already in good positions as he realizes that they all love performing, adding that it’s key not to lose interest in that part of their careers.
Chanyeol then emphasized how important it is to be close to your members. Considering that idols hang out with their members more than anyone else, Chanyeol emphasized the importance of a strong bond.
Yet, it was Baekhyun’s next comments that really gained attention. Out of nowhere, the idol explained, “Don’t make a lot of other celebrity friends.”
Unsurprisingly, even Eunchae was surprised by the advice, adding that she’d never heard of that advice and had been trying hard to make friends.
The members then agreed that between them, they didn’t have many celebrity friends and joked that it was the secret to their success.
When the video was released, the advice given by Baekhyun quickly gained attention from netizens after it was posted on Twitter.
Although it seemed like an odd piece of advice, many believe it comes from EXO’s years of experience and witnessing the industry’s hardships, including whether to trust people to be genuine friends or not.
Because its hard to find real friends in their industry. Mostly its for publicity. They would befriend you when you’re on top but one scandal away they are gone. So don’t trust fully and don’t overshare. It’s actually a great advise ❤️

Many also added that it was advice that many idols had spoken about in interviews. In particular, it is something many girl group members have explained that it’s necessary to be wary, and considering how young Eunchae is, it’s perfect advice so she isn’t taken advantage of.
sistar used to warn idols all the time to keep to themselves as did a lot of 2nd gen idols, a lot of the female idols now are under 18 and this is such good advice to give because the industry is going to take an insane toll on these kids https://t.co/nAkKKLwYin

no cause this is actually such genuinely good advice considering how young she is.. it's so easy to mistake becoming friends w someone when they're actually just taking advantage of you https://t.co/syM9tOWxuN
