EXO's Chanyeol Attends "The Box" Press Conference And Is Showered In Praise From The Movie Crew

EXO‘s Chanyeol attended the online press conference for his upcoming movie The Box, on March 18, 2021. While he shared about his experience with filming the movie, he was also praised by his fellow actor.

Chanyeol thanked his co-star Jo Dal Hwan for taking the lead and guiding him through the process. Although this is not Chanyeol’s first acting role, it is his first comeback to the silver screen since 2015’s Salut D’amour. He also had a minor role in Memories of the Alhambra in 2019.

Chanyeol’s co-star in The Box praised him for his attitude towards acting. Speaking of his chemistry with Chanyeol, Jo Dal Hwan commented, “Chanyeol’s strong point is that he understands the opposite party and accepts them as they are. I was also thankful for Chanyeol’s warmth and how well he treated the staff with every action.”

Jo Dal Hwan also commented that he learnt a lot from Chanyeol because of this. While Jo Dal Hwan explained he is the type to focus on his character, Chanyeol would liven up the set.

Another one of Chanyeol’s characteristics that was praised was his low voice tone, which contributed to his charming vocals. EcoBridge, who worked on the music for the film, complimented Chanyeol’s voice.

The Box premieres on March 24, 2021. It is about a singer who only can sing with a box over his head. He meets a music producer.
