Fans Demand EXO’s Chen, Baekyun, And Xiumin Leave Group Amid SM Entertainment Lawsuit
Netizens reacted to SM Entertainment‘s lawsuit against EXO members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin.
On June 13, it was reported that SM Entertainment had filed lawsuits against the EXO-CBX members regarding their contracts. The lawsuit reportedly states that SM Entertainment can no longer accept the bizarre actions of the idols and requested the courts forcibly implement their previous agreement.
Previously, the EXO-CBX members claimed that they shouldn’t be held to pay SM Entertainment a percentage of the revenue from their personal promotions, while SM Entertainment claimed that the members had agreed to do so in the contract that they signed earlier this year.

The feud between the idols and their former label has since spilled over to the public when they openly accused one another of exploiting the others. Many netizens have since taken the stance that the EXO-CBX members’ agreement to continue promoting with EXO was not in good faith and have largely backed SM Entertainment. This is largely due to allegations of tampering by MC Mong and Big Planet Entertainment.
Netizens reacted to the news, with many supporting SM Entertainment and feeling the lawsuit was necessary to protect EXO.
- “F*ck, I hope SM wins and they just leave the group.”
- “Why does it feel like SM is going easy on them.”
- “What do you mean to implement the contract. They should kick them out and block them from future promotions… SM hwaitiing!”
- “I think all of the other entertainment agencies and anyone who owns their business will root for SM. EXO-L are acting like ridiculous thugs.”
- “SM, hwaiting!”
- “What’s wrong with Xiumin and Chen? Baekhyun is ridiculous, too, but at least he has personal fans. Isn’t it better for Chen not to get on the bad side of EXO fans and stick with the group?”
- “Thugs.”
- “Sigh.”
