EXO Fans in Mexico and Surrounding Countries Going Wild Over Latest Announcement
The Hallyu Wave is about to bring one of Korea’s top stars to Mexico for their first ever solo concert experience.
Mexico has seen K-Pop performers in the past, including one incredible 15,000 person concert by BIGBANG back in 2015, as well as a star-studded MBC Music Bank performance in 2014. The show included stages by mega-popular groups such as INFINITE and EXO.
Now, EXO is back for more with their first ever Mexico solo concert event. Local concert promoter DREAM MAKER, a company who has worked as SM Entertainment‘s overseas concert promoter in the past, announced the show via SNS.
One Korean business official operating in Mexico commented on the excitement of Mexican fans who had heard about the show, relaying that the group’s popularity could not be overlooked.
“EXO is coming in April and this news travelled fast in Mexico. The atmosphere is hot and crazy in not just Mexico but neighboring countries as well.”

EXO announced their third concert tour, EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’rDIUM, last July to overwhelming support and success. This upcoming show is set for April 27 and is expected to increase the impact of the Hallyu Wave across the western hemisphere.
Mexico got the K-Pop fever years ago when groups such as SHINee and Super Junior became popular and K-Dramas such as Star in My Heart and All About Eve were aired to great success.
Even more, artists are expected to hold stages in Mexico this year – including BTS, ASTRO, Red Velvet, and more at the first-ever KCON Mexico, set for March 17-18.
