EXO well on their way to becoming “double million sellers”
With the announcement of EXO about to release their repackaged album titled Love Me Right, is it very likely that their 2nd studio album will reach the million mark once again.
It is highly rare in the Korean music industry nowadays for any artists to sell a million copies of their albums. Yet, with their 2nd studio album EXODUS, EXO has already sold at least 750,000 copies to date.
With that in mind, it’s highly likely that EXO will be able to sell their EXODUS’ repackaged album titled Love Me Right once it is released this June and hit the official million seller mark.
In 2013, EXO released their first album XOXO (Kiss & Hug) and for the first time in 12 years, a male artist achieved the “million seller” status after selling over 1 million copies of their album.
They preceded group g.o.d, whose album Chapter 4: Road was released in 2001 and sold 1.7 million copies (2002 statistics). Prior to that, their album Chapter 3: Lies (2000) sold 1.8 million copies (2001 statistics), asserting themselves as “double million sellers” as well.
EXO further proved themselves to be the kings of physical album sellers when they released their winter album Miracles in December in December 2013, selling over 500,000 copies.
With already 750,000 copies sold under their belt for EXODUS, there’s no doubt that the popular boy group will be able to sell an additional 250,000 and hit that million mark once again.
