EXO’s Xiumin Is A Humble King After Being Asked How Much The Group Contributed To SM Entertainment’s New Building
EXO‘s Xiumin guested on LOONA Chuu‘s Chuu’s Market, and since you can’t talk about SM Entertainment without mentioning EXO, Chuu couldn’t help but bring up the question: how much did EXO contribute to SM’s new building?
From a glance, it’s clear to everyone how grand the new SM Entertainment building is. There’s even an area called the Artist House, where many SM artists have recently filmed for interviews or vlogs.
Chuu compared the Artist House to a wedding venue, and it’s easy to see the resemblance. Of course, she didn’t forget to shower Xiumin with praise as well.
With such great architecture and interior design surrounding her, it’s inevitable that she’d be curious to know how much Xiumin and EXO have contributed to this beautiful complex.
It wouldn’t be farfetched to think that EXO built this new SM building; after all “Growl” built their previous one.
However, despite EXO’s legendary status and indisputable success, Xiumin paid homage to his seniors, crediting them for taking part in the building of SM’s new space. Without their successes forming the foundation, the next generations of SM artists wouldn’t have been able to take off.
The first generation, H.O.T., Kangta, they laid the groundwork.

And TVXQ, Super Junior, they built the building.

Still, humility is one thing, and honesty is another. The first and second generations of SM’s idols built the groundwork, and EXO contributed to the interior. While Xiumin was trying to be modest in his answer, he was also super proud. When Chuu pointed out that the interior was probably the most expensive project, Xiumin couldn’t help but agree.
These glimpses of the interior design of SM’s new building prove that the company did everything possible to create the most beautiful space ever.

SM Entertainment are moving their HQ from Gangnam to Seongsu-dong. They are moving to the new Acro Seoul Forest D-Tower and will occupy around half of the 33 floors there. SM will also have a place selling merch either on the first floor or in the underground retail space pic.twitter.com/ZiCLs3wsOV

The building is the definition of grandiose, and while magnificent, it has some slight inconveniences.
no way sm artists use scooter to go to the rest room cause it’s too far from their recording studio😭😭 pic.twitter.com/aCYaUtWolW

Xiumin’s fellow member Baekhyun is also part of the interior decoration as a massive wire mesh sculpture of him resides within the building. With EXO being a sextuple million-seller and Baekhyun himself being a double million-seller, it’s no surprise that SM was able to go all out with the interior design.

EXO will only continue to grow in power, especially when we get a complete OT9 comeback, and while they’re all humble kings, the truth is the truth, and we can’t wait to see what other milestones they’ll set in the future.
