Famous Comedian “Lee” Accused Of Raping And Sexually Harassing An Underage Woman
A victim has come forth and revealed that she was raped by a famous comedian when she was only 18 years old.
The legal age in Korea is 19-years-old, so the victim was an underage minor at the time of the attack.
The woman first met comedian Lee not long after he debuted. She came back to her hometown in Korea during a vacation of her junior year when she met him through a friend. At the time, he was 24 years old.
After having met for the first time, Lee suggested that they get together again to have a meal together, so they exchanged numbers. Their second meeting was when the incident occurred. She explained that when they got to his apartment in Deungchon-dong, he started making his advances.
“At first he asked me to pick up his clothes, so I was quietly picking them up when he called me over to watch TV together. That’s how it happened.”

He forcefully kissed the victim and made harassing remarks like, “You’re from abroad so you probably have a lot of experience with [sex], right?” The victim denied his accusations, but he raped her anyway.
The victim went on to explain that she explicitly remembers the incident down to the very color of her underwear to his nonchalant attitude after finding out that it was her first time. She confessed that he ordered her to wash off the blood on her clothes in the bathroom. Being surprised with the situation, she went straight to the bathroom and did as she was told. Later, she used the ID of an older friend to get a prescription for emergency contraception.
Lee responded to the story in a phone call with SBS, where he denied that he knew the victim was underage.
“I didn’t know the victim was underage and we had sexual relations because we were interested in each other. That’s all. If I thought I had raped her, why would I have contacted her again? I didn’t know that she remembered that day in that way. If she was suffering from the incident, then it is something I should apologize for. If possible, I’d like to speak to her in person. I’d like to explain myself and clarify the misunderstanding. I’ve been very supportive of the recent #MeToo movement, so I was very surprised when I found out that someone had accused me as well. I still can’t believe it.”
