Guess we all need to be checking our CDs now.

With the ever-changing K-pop world, it is no shock that physical albums are just becoming a part of the K-pop display aesthetic.

While the older generation used physical albums to listen to music on CD players and in car stereos, the current generation is more familiar with streaming songs through their phones.

Many fans who purchase albums for album sale records and fan sign events are left with an overwhelming amount of untouched albums. Many even admit that they’ve never opened the album to listen to the CD inside.

Most recently, a video posted on X garnered much attention for a fan’s unexpected reaction while playing SHINee Taemin‘s fourth mini album, Guilty.

The video reveals the fan inserting Taemin’s album into the stereo, only to have NCT’s “Favorite” start playing!

Fans couldn’t believe something like this could happen.

While some thought that it could have just been an error for one song, turns out the whole album was NCT’s repackage album.

Coincidence or not, both Taemin and NCT’s albums had 14 tracks!

Fans joked that SM could put anything on the albums and they still wouldn’t notice.

On another note, fans couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that it was always NCT caught up in these situations.
