Fans React To The Absence Of Winwin And Lucas From NCT's Upcoming Full Group Promotions

Back in June 2021, SM Entertainment revealed their plans for NCT 2021, which naturally excited all of the boy group’s fans. Just a few days ago, the agency released an official photo of NCT’s 2021 Universe which confirmed the group’s upcoming album.

However, as updates continued bit by bit, fans were quick to notice the absence of two members, Winwin and Lucas—and this was not received well. Hundreds of NCT fans quickly began to express their disappointment in the upcoming NCT promotions on Twitter.

Due to the sudden influx of tweets NCT-related tweets, Winwin and Lucas both began to trend on Twitter following the news.

Fans speculated that Winwin would be unable to join his NCT members for the upcoming promotions due to his busy C-Drama filming schedule. Previously, it was reported that the NCT member was cast as one of the main actors in The Shadow, which is a series set in the Republic Era of China. The filming began in October 2021 and has been ongoing ever since.

NCT member Lucas was previously caught up in a string of gaslighting allegations back in August 2021. Following the reports, the NCT member took the time to apologize for his actions and has since been taking a hiatus, while staying out of the spotlight.

While fans speculated that Lucas may not be included in the group’s upcoming promotions for the time being, fans were still disappointed to see Lucas’s name out of the group’s promotional photo.
