Fans Raise Concerns After MONSTA X Met Big Time Rush Right Before Kendall Schmidt Tested Positive For COVID-19
MONSTA X and Big Time Rush low-key broke the internet over the weekend.
MONSTA X’s international manager Eshy Gazit has recently shared many photos of the group as they are currently in the United States promoting their second English album, The Dreaming, and performing in several of 2021 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour stops.

So, they have also been meeting some of their fellow Jingle Ball performers, such as Bazzi…
And, of course, they met Big Time Rush (also known as BTR) on December 16 at Jingle Ball in Atlanta. Formed in 2009, Big Time Rush is known, of course, for their Nickelodeon television series of the same name, Big Time Rush. The group is comprised of four members: Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. Currently, the group is under Columbia Records.
Their meeting with the fellow boy band excited many people, seeing two of their favorite boy bands meet. It feels like a dream come true!

Still, some are now raising some concerns and for very valid reasons. On December 18, it was announced that Big Time Rush member Kendall Schmitt was tested positive for COVID-19. Despite this, Big Time Rush chose to continue their planned concert and VIP meet-and-greet as they are currently doing a comeback tour. It was not announced officially that Kendall would be out sick until the start of the group’s event.

Many have been voicing their concerns about the decision to go through with the concert and meet-and-greet event, considering that all of the members may not have been tested positive but have been in close contact with one who was. For one thing, we know that people can test negative and still test positive later.
big time rush are literally INSANE like kendall just tested positive for covid and since the other members got a negative result they still holding the concert and m&g LIKE ??? acting like they didn't share cars, rooms, meals and bathroom just some hours ago 😐

UPDATE: Kendall from @bigtimerush has tested positive for COVID, while the other band members were EXPOSED to him. Yet @ManhattanCenter thinks it’s a good idea to continue the meet and greet with the other 3 members. Sick.

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommends that one be quarantined for two full weeks if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19. An exception to this is if the exposed person is fully vaccinated.
Quarantine if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after their exposure, even if they don’t have symptoms and wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until their test result is negative.

And, we know that one of the Big Time Rush members, Carlos PenaVega, is unvaccinated. So, this makes the whole situation all the more concerning.

Not only Big Time Rush fans but MONBEBEs (fans of MONSTA X) can’t help but worry. MONSTA X met Big Time Rush just a couple of days before Kendall was revealed to have COVID-19.
kendall of big time rush rested positive for covid and knowing they met monsta x this week I hope they test the boys and take all safety measurements they have to. I hope they can make it through jingle ball safe, but everyone’s health comes first. let’s hope for good results!

So, we are all hoping that everyone is taking the proper safety precautions right now. Both groups have so far been continuing to tour the states, perform shows, and meet with fans except Kendall.
While not every show has been canceled so far, iHeart Radio had chosen to cancel a 2021 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball event in Miami, Florida, the day of due to COVID-19 concerns.
