“Jaemin: It’s only been one day since the exhibition started, but you’re asking for me to sell the photos? You guys want the photos frames?

OP note: NCTzen’s request for them to be sold just one day after the exhibition.

Jaemin: But the prices will become expensive…

OP note: He prefaced that it would become expensive if he sold them.

Jaemin: I’m worried about that. If I sell it as a limited edition, there’s going to be an added premium…

OP note: He was worried about fans who might pay a premium to buy it from re-sellers.

Jaemin: There’s going to be an added premium even if I sell less. I’ll have to think about this some more. This might become a satan’s photo frame.”

Fans also emphasized the key points of the situation surrounding the photo exhibition to avoid misunderstanding.

  1. For about five years, he took pictures because he enjoyed it. He loved photos so much that about 3-4 years ago, he revealed that his dream is to open a photo exhibition someday.
  2. He was able to fulfill it this year and hold the photo exhibition (It was initially supposed to open in April but was pushed back three months).
  3. The photo exhibition ticket prices-> he wanted as many fans to see it as possible, so he discussed with SM to make it 10,000 KRW.
  4. Since the tickets were sold through Musinsa, he negotiated with the company so that international fans could also buy tickets.
  5. He prepared amazing gifts for those who won the book talk and sign event.
  6. He extended the exhibition dates for fans who couldn’t see it (the rental costs for the exhibition are really expensive).

Important points

  1. The exhibition photo limited edition sales were not part of the plan. They were prepared due to fans’ requests.
  2. He already prefaced that the prices would be expensive through Bubble.
  3. He worried about the added premium and continued to discuss it with the company.
  4. The photos would be sold to membership-only fans and include an original autograph and guarantee card, making them original artwork by a photographer.
  5. If you have a problem with it, you don’t need to purchase it.
  6. 100% of the profits will be donated. Do you think this is easy?

Fans were upset that people were quick to think that he was doing this just for the money.

What are your thoughts on this?
