Fans Are Demanding An Apology Over Former EXO Member Luhan’s Controversial Outfit
Fans from all over the world have taken to social media platform Twitter to express their disappointment over former EXO member Luhan‘s fashion choices.
There are three reasons for their disappointment. First, Muslims are offended because Luhan wore the shahada, the Muslim profession of faith (“there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”) as a fashion accessory.
Okay, so Luhan is treding bcs he wore the vest with Islamic’s shahada on it. Regardless it’s his choice or his stylist, it’s a very ignorant thing to do. I hope they’re aware of their mistake and more careful. pic.twitter.com/WtvK359lPB

if ur a non-muslim invalidating muslim’s feelings over the luhan situation then fck you. That isn’t just some Arabic writing, it’s the shahada and you, a non-muslim, don’t understand how offensive it is to wear that as an accessory.

I am so disappointed & upset that luhan wore the shahada as an accessory, my religion is NOT an aesthetic. I’m not hating on luhan, I just want his stylist and the fashion designer and luhan to educate themselves before making/wearing clothes using religious words as an aesthetic pic.twitter.com/73A0WvhIyp

The second reason why fans are demanding apology from Luhan and his stylist is because even Muslims are not allowed to wear this sacred text, and yet someone who’s a non-Muslim is using it for fashion purposes.
so to anyone who is not muslim, what is written in luhan's vest is the first pillar of islam aka shahada and the most important, it basically says "لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله" which means "There is no god but God (and) Muhammad is the messenger of God." + pic.twitter.com/6LWrTa4DT9

bro what the actual fuck, what’s up with these companies and idols not checking the shit they wear?? luhan had the fucking SHAHADA on his fucking vest??? used as an AESTHETIC??? I’m fucking pissed my religion isn’t an aesthetic

THEY ATTACHED A METAL STICKER THEY DID IT AND THEY WOULD BE SO DUMB IF THEY DIDNT KNOW THAT THIS IS SHAHADA ISLAMIC DECLARATION OF FAITH SO IGNORANT WHETHER THE STYLIST OR COMPANY OR THE IDOL LUHAN THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND SO OFFENDING FOR ISLAMIC PEOPLE

And the third reason for their disappointment is because Luhan wore this outfit in China, the country where there are actual news of Muslim genocide happening.
for those who don’t know, luhan is chinese artist. HE WORE THIS IN CHINA. THE SAME COUNTRY WHERE MUSLIMS ARE BEING ERADICATED
there is a muslim genocide occurring in china but luhan here wants to make our religion fashion. this is textbook cultural appropriation… to an extreme https://t.co/0sVM8k94Pc

china carried out a whole genocide for MONTHS against the muslims in uighur just recently in 2019 and icb ppl let luhan parade around the whole city with the islamic shahadah on his vest …. i’m so mad i’m genuinely furious

what pisses me off more is that luhan is allowed to walk around with the shahada plastered on his shirt but the muslims in China aren’t even allowed to fucking express their religion??? pic.twitter.com/TwaTXcYffe

As a result of this, many fans are now messaging Luhan and his studio to take action about this concern.
How tf y'all are expecting muslims to be silent on this matter. When this man disrespected our belief??? How dare he???? We want apology.. luhan should apologise..

Regarding Luhan's issue, Lufans have sent email to Luhan Studio to take action about this issue. We hope they can do it as soon as possible. Thank you.
So please don't bring Luhan again into your kpop fandom wars if you're not LuFans. Don't make it worse.
