Fans Enraged As Agency Stays Silent While Girl Group Member Apologizes For “Worst” Gifts

Who’s at fault here?

On August 5, idols gathered to film for the Idol Stars Athletics Championship (ISAC) 2024, which was set to be broadcast during Korea’s Chuseok holiday in September.

With many fans coming to support the idols, groups prepared special gifts for their fans. From handwritten letters, snacks, desserts, gift cards, and more, fans were showered with love from their idols.

However, an online community board garnered much attention as they chose the group with the worst gifts for the fans.

(there was no dinner so the agency told fans to take care of their meals themselves).”

“The team that had the worst gifts for the 2024 ISAC.

Reporting the agency that ignores the human rights of fans.

They gave out one meal during the ten hours (provided a sandwich set), got caught reusing photo cards, and didn’t provide dinner (told fans to go out and take care of eating themselves, but weren’t able to re-enter once they left. They didn’t provide anything else.”

To this, member Wooyeon left a message to fans apologizing for the incident.

I’m so sorry and sad that we couldn’t prepare much, as this was our first time attending ‘ISAC.’ Thank you to everyone who came to support us. Thanks to you guys, we’ve created more good memories.

In response, fans were furious that a member had to apologize for something that should be taken care of by the agency.

Members are apologizing when the company should be the one to.

I think it’s because the company has no money, but why does the member have to apologize for the company not having enough money? So ridiculous. I really hate the company.

The company should be the ones criticized. Some people that should be apologizing have their agency apologize instead and some people that haven’t done anything wrong are apologizing instead of the agency.

On the other hand, some fans felt that they should be thankful for even receiving something and that giving gifts wasn’t mandatory.

Their company is small, so they probably don’t have a lot of money, so shouldn’t they be thankful that they even provided something? It probably took a toll on them to even prepare just that. The fandom is filled with stupid brats.

Back in the day, giving gifts was just seen as something to be jealous of, and that was it. Giving out gifts was optional. Somehow, giving out small gifts became something to be criticized about.
