Korean Netizens Call Out STAYC’s Company For Lack Of Promotions
Recently, an online community board garnered much attention regarding the lack of promotions for STAYC.
An online post titled, “I’m a debut STAYC fan, and the company did well in the beginning, but I’m not sure if they are even the same company now,” expressed the frustration fans had towards the company.
“I’m shocked at the lack of promotions or viral posts in 2024. If you search STAYC, there’s no community post about them. Not even the comeback teaser has been posted here.
I know there will be people saying they saw posts about STAYC, but have you ever considered that it could be just one or two people writing it?
Anyway, why is the company not promoting them? They worked hard in 2023 and released hit songs like ‘Teddy Bear,’ ‘Poppy,’ and ‘Bubble.’
But in 2024, they aren’t even thinking about promoting their comeback. After starting ‘Cheeky Icy Thing’ promotions, they finally saw how serious it was and quickly did collaborations, but there was no point. Isn’t it a set rule to promote before the comeback?
It literally feels like they are going undercover so that no one knows they are making a comeback.”
Korean netizens agreed with the post in that the company needed to step up their game with promotions.
- “I can feel how serious this is. Although other issues happened this year, they still need to promote…even though we called them out for ‘Cheeky Icy Thing’, they are still so quiet…”
- “Honestly, I’m so annoyed. I’m just a fan and I posted their teaser here because no one else did. I will always support them, but the company needs to back them up so they can become even better.”
- “I really thought better things would happen after ‘Bubble’ but what is this? They needed to go all out for the full-length album.”
- “I’m not worried about the songs, but with the lack of promotions, I don’t know how it will do on the charts.”
- “Why aren’t they promoting them…”
