Heat Chaos Erupts As 4 Fans Hospitalized After Collapsing During PSY’s Concert
Four attendees were hospitalized after displaying symptoms of heat-related illnesses during PSY‘s Summer Swag concert in Gwangju.
PSY’s signature summer concert is known for being a high-energy show with huge enthusiastic crowds that love to dance no matter the weather.

The concert — held on July 6 at the World Cup Stadium in Seogu — saw 78 concertgoers suffer from heat exhaustion, according to the Gwangju Fire Department. Most were treated on-site, but four individuals required hospital treatment, # said the fire department today.
The temperature in Gwangju that day was sweltering, with a perceived temperature reaching 31.3 degrees Celsius. A heatwave warning issued on July 5 was downgraded to a heat advisory by 10 AM on the day of the concert.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time a PSY concert has been affected by heat. In June last year, a performance at Seoul’s Jamsil Sports Complex was briefly halted when a spectator collapsed due to heat exhaustion.
