It was recently announced that SM Entertainment had sent out an invite to all former affiliated artists that they could contact. The invitation was for them to come to SMTOWN Live 2025 in Seoul.

However, fans have started to wonder if it’s really possible for someone like Jessica Jung, who parted with Girls’ Generation and SM Entertainment in a very public dispute. In 2014, Jessica announced on her Weibo that she was “forced out” of Girls’ Generation due to the members and the company.

Since then, the girls have rarely interacted in public or even acknowledged their friendship. There have been moments where they were asked by fans and responded, but have quite often tried to shy away from the topic in public.
