Some, however, found it rude.

Recently, fans of TXT started a hashtag, “#staystrongsoobin,” on Twitter, “praying” for his wellbeing. But contrary to the serious nature of the tag, the reason that prompted it was actually pretty light-hearted.

As many fans already know, Soobin is an ardent fan of the popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is particularly fond of one of the protagonists, Gojo Satoru. Jujutsu Kaisen is closely based on the Japanese manga series of the same name. For those unfamiliar with this series, the story deals with sorcerers who fight physical manifestations of curses to ensure humanity’s safety.

Soobin has never shied away from expressing his love for the character of Gojo, be it imitating his signature “Unlimited Void” move, taking pictures with his posters out in the wild, or simply sharing his interest with fans.

Recently, a leaked preview of the manga went viral online after fans realized that in the upcoming episode, Gojo’s character might die. The news prompted a huge outcry online, with Gojo’s name trending on Twitter, almost worldwide, for hours.

Given Soobin’s love for the character, MOAs jokingly started the hashtag, praying that he doesn’t take this news too hard.

After the spoiler went viral, Soobin was talked about so much on Twitter that his name started trending along with Gojo on the platform.

It looks like MOAs guessed it right. On September 21, KST, Soobin went live on Weverse with Taehyun and Hueningkai, and the three talked to fans about various topics, including Jujutsu Kaisen.

Fans were probably very intrigued to know what Soobin thought of the new spoiler and left enough comments on the livestream for him to notice. Soobin, being the distraught fanboy he is, responded that he didn’t want any more spoilers, even though he already knows what happens in the manga. Hueningkai chimed in, saying that he saw the spoiler on Weverse and had to close the app immediately, even though it was an expected update.

Soobin then glumly asked viewers to stop talking about Jujutsu Kaisen anymore.

While MOAs who are also fans of the manga found Soobin’s response very relatable, the reactions from non-fans were divided. While some found it funny how invested Soobin seemed, others wondered why fans spoiled the update for him.
