Stray Kids is hard at work gearing up for the release of their second Japanese mini-album and are preparing for the next stop on their MANIAC world tour on June 11 in Kobe, Japan. New promotions usually call for a change in appearance and fans are always eager to see what style is next.

The group recently kicked off their MANIAC world tour in Seoul, where the members debuted their new hairstyles. Hyunjin excited fans with his bright red hair after having been platinum blonde.

Today, STAYs were in for a surprise when the idol unexpectedly debuted a new look. It’s not uncommon for singers to go through frequent changes to their hair, especially before or during promotions. Hyunjin’s transformation was surprising because it’s his fourth hair color in two weeks!

A fan, who is a hairdresser, had the answer covered. They explained that the process of using hair dye is less damaging than bleach and that him dying his hair red was just a step towards taking him back to darker hair.
