Fifth-Gen Girl Group Member Announces Sudden Departure Just Months After Debut

A fifth-generation girl group that debuted a few months ago just announced that its leader would be officially leaving the group.

On August 29, KST, the management company EgoENT posted an official notice on Weverse notifying fans that Hyunny, the leader of the girl group VVUP, had taken the decision to leave the group. It was only recently that she wrapped up all promotional activities with her teammates for their latest song, “Ain’t Nobody.”

According to EgoENT, Hyunny has been struggling with health issues, and despite her best efforts, she hasn’t been able to recover well enough to continue with the group’s activities. Hence, after much consideration, she has decided to prioritize her health for now. Meanwhile, VVUP will continue with its three remaining members, Kim, Paan, and Suyeon.
