FIFTY FIFTY’s Legal Battle Against ATTRAKT Officially Starts Amid Controversy
FIFTY FIFTY‘s legal battle with ATTRAKT officially starts today.
On July 5, Central Seoul’s 50th District Court will hold its first hearing for the lawsuit submitted by FIFTY FIFTY, in which the group asks to terminate its exclusive contract with ATTRAKT.
Previously, it was reported that the members had filed a lawsuit on June 19. According to the members’ lawyer, the lawsuit was filed as a direct result of ATTRAKT violating the existing contract.
This is law firm Barun Law, representing Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keen (hereafter referred to as the members) from FIFTY FIFTY.
The four members filed for the temporary suspension of their exclusive contracts with the Seoul Central District Court through their legal representatives on June 19. The trial is currently in process. This is due to ATTRAKT violating their contract’s terms and breaking any trust between the two parties.

At the time, the members’ lawyer revealed several grievances, including cloudy accounting practices and the disregard for the members’ health.
The members questioned the various situations where ATTRAKT did not faithfully fulfill their contract obligations, such as the lack of transparency in financial documents and unilaterally trying to have the group promoted despite the members having health issues. We would also like to clarify that this [lawsuit] was a decision made by the four members themselves, with no outside intervention.

Meanwhile, a bombshell Dispatch report brought several of the group’s claims into question. In their article, Dispatch challenges the group’s assertion that the CEO forced the group to promote, despite poor health, by providing text messages that show it was the group’s producer Ahn Sung Il, who threatened to stop working with the group if the CEO didn’t force them to film a music video for the upcoming Barbie movie.
