69-Year Old Filipina Beauty Queen Slays In “Miss Universe Philippines” Contest
Age is truly just a number!
The 2024 Philippine pageant scene was shaken in the best way by a unique contestant. 69-year old Jocelyn Cubales joined her district’s Miss Universe Philippines chapter and ended up winning!
She represented her district, Barangay Baesa, in the next round of the competition.

Though she was not able to become Miss Quezon City, losing to Lorraine Ojimba of Barangay South Triangle, she still made it into the Top 10.
Jocelyn looked absolutely stunning in each round of the show. She was bright and confident in her nude dress for the evening gown portion, proving to everyone that pageant queens can be of any age.
Needless to say, she also killed it in the swimsuit event. She showed off her jaw-dropping body in a white bikini that the other contestants a third of her age also donned. It was hard to believe that she’s almost in her seventies!
Jocelyn made her district of Basae proud, especially after she won the special prizes Miss Anlene Total 10 and Light of Dreams.
In 2023, the Miss Universe Philippines organization removed their age limit requirement. This allowed aspiring contestants over 28 years old to take their shot at the crown.
