First Confirmed “Single’s Inferno 4” Contestant Announcement Hit With Major Backlash
The first confirmed contestant for Single’s Inferno 4 has been hit with criticism.
A report from StarNews recently confirmed that the first contestant for the next series is Yuk Jun Seo. Yuk Jun Seo was born in April 1996 and served in the Navy Special Warfare Flotilla (UDT/SEAL) and was discharged as a sergeant in 2019.
He definitely has the visuals for the show.
Considering his UDT status, it’s not surprising that there have been some comparisons to former contestant Dex, also known as Kim Jin Young.
While many believe his fame could come from following in Dex’s footsteps, Jun Seo is already known to many K-Drama fans as he starred in Home Sweet Home as Bang Jin Ho.
When the news was posted on the Korean forum Instiz, netizens had mixed feelings.
Many netizens pointed out how it feels wrong for Yuk Jun Seo to be appearing because he is already technically a celebrity and known as an actor, adding that it would be weird for his fans to see him flirting with girls.
- “I get that people appear on this show to get that celebrity status, but LOL. This is kind of over the line.”
- “How? Are you saying Yuk Jun Seo shouldn’t be on the show?”
- “Well, since he’s already acting in K-Dramas, I’m personally not too thrilled about it. I was really curious to see who would be on it, but this is just disappointing.”
- “Isn’t he already a celebrity?”
- “What’s going on? Didn’t he say he wouldn’t do any TV shows… Is he really going to be on the show?”
- “Huh… This is just… Umm…”
- “He said he was going to be an actor.”
- “Oh, as a fan, that might be a bit upsetting… Watching your favorite actor flirting and getting cozy with female contestants…”
It will be interesting to see how he fits into the show when it airs.
