The First Trailer For The “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” Sequel Is Released — Netizens React Differently
One of the most loved and iconic K-Dramas for most fans is Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, starring Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik.
As soon as the show aired, netizens fell in love with the chemistry between the two stars.
The series follows a woman with superhuman strength who was hired by a CEO as a bodyguard. Even off-screen, the duo became a hot topic after revealing their “feelings for each other.”
Of course, considering the show’s popularity, it’s not surprising that netizens couldn’t hide their excitement when the sequel was announced. The show, titled Strong Girl Nam Soon, follows Do Bong Soon’s cousin Kang Nam Soon, who, like the rest of her family, has superhuman strength.
On August 31, after a lot of anticipation, JTBC released the first trailer for the show. The trailer started by giving fans a trip down memory lane with the OG show that has become a huge part of fans’ lives.
The lead role of Nam Soon is played by Lee Yoo Mi, and the show also stars the likes of Ong Seong Wu, Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook. Fans then got their first glimpse of Lee Yoo Mi in the new iconic role and what they can expect from the show’s newest cast.
Before ending with the hotly anticipated premiere date, which is October 7.
When the trailer was shared online, it wasn’t surprising that netizens couldn’t hide their excitement at finally seeing a glimpse at one of the most anticipated sequels in K-Drama history.

Others didn’t know how they felt about the show’s concept, sharing how sad it was that they didn’t continue the story by having Do Bong Soon’s twins as the stars or any of the cast from the original series.
It doesn't appeal to me that much anymore now that the casts are totally different. I'm just looking forward to PHS and PBY cameo. That's it. https://t.co/TsLuCrp6IG

While it’s not surprising that fans are anticipating the Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik reunion, hopefully, it doesn’t overshadow the show and the series lives up to fans’ expectations.
