Former 3rd-Gen Idol Gives Unfiltered Dating Advice After Going Through Divorce And Giving Up Custody
Former LABOUM member and YouTube creator Yulhee recently opened up about her opinion on love and relationships after going through painful experiences in her marriage.
On August 22, Yulhee hosted a Q&A session with fans, where one fan opened up to her about their break up, explaining that she decided to part ways because her partner fell out of love. Yulhee responded to this story with raw honesty, calling the lack of reciprocation in a relationship a “waste of time.”
Honestly, it feels like a waste of time. Let’s date people who like us.
— Yulhee
She added that working on self-improvement is the most effective way to attract the right people and keep the wrong ones at bay.
Just hold on, take care of yourself, and do what you need to do. The right person will come if they are meant to, and those who aren’t, won’t. Don’t forget that you are the most important.
— Yulhee
The former idol also warned fans against dating people “who make you suffer.”
Despite the meaningful advice, Yulhee expressed self-apprehension by saying that it had been very long since her last relationship, and she wasn’t certain of her relationship advice. She concluded that being single was the best available option.
I’m feeling a sudden drop in self-esteem. It’s hard. Being single is the best.
— Yulhee
Yulhee’s perspective on romantic relationships becomes even more significant given the difficult situations she has faced. The singer married FT Island’s Choi Minhwan in 2018, and the couple has a son and twin daughters. However, they divorced in December 2023 after five years of marriage. Though Minhwan has full custody of their three children, Yulhee continues to see the children regularly.
