Former AOA’s Kwon Mina Uploads A Cryptic Post About Lack Of Punishment For Perpetrators
Former AOA‘s Kwon Mina drew attention once again for her cryptic post on Instagram. While Mina has consistently been speaking out about the various distress and treatment she faced in the industry, this time she related how she felt through a movie. Mina posted her thoughts after watching a legal action film, The Mauritanian. However, the open-ended caption left fans to wonder what the star was implying this time.
The reality is that anyone can unfairly be made into the accused and experience all sorts of pain while the real perpetrator does not receive any sort of punishment. I enjoyed watched this movie and felt lots of things through it but?
— Mina
Mina ended her sentence with a question mark and an open-end, leading to speculations in the comments. Many wonder if it was alluding to her personal experience within AOA while others have made sure to send her positive messages.
Previously, Mina has spoken out about the mental duress she faced during her time as an AOA member. In initial posts that have since been removed from her Instagram page, she singled out leader Jimin as a bully while mentioning her acceptance of the other members’ apologies. Following the revelation, members of the public have been criticising not only Jimin but also Seolhyun for her close relationship with Jimin.
In a more recent update, Mina had also spoken up to share her experience with sexual assault in the industry. Although she claimed the perpetrator was not a celebrity, she explained he was a well-known figure in the industry.
On the other hand, the movie Mina was referring to, The Mauritanian, is about a man who spends years in a detention camp before his first trial. He is aided by a defense attorney that is the first to believe in him since his sentence. They discover fabricated evidence and a conspiracy.
Due to the fact that Mina has always been expressing her point of view as a victim, many are confused as to why she seems to relate to a “falsely accused perpetrator” with her latest post.
