Former BEAST Member Sheds Light On Truth Behind His Absence At Fan Meeting Before Leaving The Group
Former BEAST member Jang Hyunseung has opened up about leaving the group.
He recently explained how he left the group through messages on the fan messaging app, fromm.
“At that time, it was already confirmed that I would be leaving the group. Because they were going to officially release an article about my departure, they told me not to attend the fan meeting and not to come.
That’s why I didn’t attend and just went out to hang out. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I wasn’t absent without permission since I saw a message about it.”
“Yeah, the agency told me to film a video at home saying that I couldn’t attend because of this and that and that I am so sorry to the Japanese fans for not being able to be there. So I filmed it and sent it to them.
But they also told me not to go out and hang around and said it would be best if I just stayed at home.
But at that time, I wasn’t in the mood to stay at home.”
Jang Hyunseung debuted with BEAST in 2009 and was criticized for not attending the Japanese fan meeting in 2015. He also faced much backlash as fans reportedly spotted him at a cafe with friends on the fan meeting day.
After he departed from the group in 2016, he switched to a solo career and is currently promoting with the stage name ABLE.
