Tammy was a member of the latter, yet she also had the unique ability to communicate with everyone. She told Grazy Grace in a new interview that she was a rarity among the trainees as she could speak Korean, Chinese, and English fluently.

This made her a popular figure among the staff and trainees alike. She shared that because of her language skills, she was in the middle of numerous arguments that ensued among the groups with mixed nationalities.

They’ll either have like a translator with them or have Google translate and then they’ll just play [the announcements]. And whenever we had arguments as a group, I would have to be the translator for these fights. So I knew all the tea from the show because everyone’s like, ‘Tammy, can you say this to this person because I need to let her know…’

The number one thing they fought about was the lines they had in the song their group was assigned to.

Mostly just part distributions. A lot of people would want the same part.

While this was broadcasted often, Tammy explained that the fights would extend beyond what the audience could see.

There would be a little bit of an argument in front of the camera but then afterwards like they’ll get upset with each other and then that can get into a little bit of a fight.

Besides parts distribution, there would also be minor arguments that resulted from being in an enclosed space for half a year of filming with 99 other girls. A clash of personalities, Tammy explained, was inevitable.

There’s 99 people so it’s hard to let everyone be best friends.
